Animal Characteristics

Head-Body Length:20 cm
Identification:The black-collared barbet has a crimson face, throat and chest. The crown, hind neck, and upper breast are a glossy black color. Its upper parts are grayish-brown, and the lower breast to undertail coverts are yellowish-gray. Its underwing coverts are white.

Reproduction:Barbets breed during any season of the year.
These noisy birds are most often seen in pairs.
