This page links to all the resources that were used during the development of this site. Most of these resources assisted with the collection of natural history information, but others were used for help with Web design, staff training, technology services, or project supervision.
None of this would have been possible without the generous donation of the slide collection by Warren and Genevieve Garst of Fort Collins, Colorado. The creators of this site and original managers of the Garst Photographic Project were Rachael Tracey and Bridget M. Breitbach, student interns at Colorado State University Libraries (1999-2002).
Ms. Tracey, Ms. Breitbach and Dr. Teresa Neely (former supervisor) had their article "Managing a Digital Collection: the Garst Photographic Collection" published in May 2002. The article describes their work on the Garst Project and can be found in Reference Services Review, Volume 30, Number 2.
The Collaborative Digitization Program provided a grant in 1999 to digitize and make accessible 1000 slides and accompanying metadata.
