Playing Indian Book JacketNovember is Native American Awareness Month and a month long series of events has been planned by the Native American Student Services office. CSU Libraries is participating by providing a display of colorful and interesting books covering a wide range of topics on the main floor of Morgan Library.

Visit the Morgan Library to immerse yourself in a good book this fall while learning about Native American culture. Book lovers may want to pay particular attention to a series of book discussions led by Dr. Gregory Smoak on the book “Playing Indian.” Our library copy may be off the shelf, but you can request a book through our Regional Catalog Prospector.

Dr. Gregory Smoak, Professor of History at Colorado State University will lead three discussions and present informative programs on the highly acclaimed book, “Playing Indian”, by Dr. Philip J. Deloria who will be at Colorado State on Thursday, November 15th. Registration is free and limited to 25 participants. Call 221-6378 to register. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Fort Collins Museum store and CSU Bookstore.
